Serve this delicious cobbler warm or at room temperature with vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream.

2-1/2 cups fresh blackberries, washed
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 stick unsalted butter, melted

Combine the blackberries and sugar, stirring carefully. Allow to sit for about 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Stir together the flour, baking powder, salt and milk with a spoon. Next, stir in the melted butter and mix by hand with a spoon until the ingredients are well incorporated and you have few clumps. Pour the batter in a baking dish and smooth it out. Pour the blackberries/sugar mixture on top and evenly distribute over the batter.

Bake for 45 minutes. Let it cool for at least 30 minutes and then serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream.
